This site describes the research of the pioneer project: Music, Mind,
Machine on the computational modeling of music
cognition. The site contains papers with sound examples,
Quicktime animations, archives, demonstrations, and other
material.
The Pionier project has been finalized, but the line of research is continued both in Nijmegen and in
Amsterdam. The
focus of Nijmegen team is now on training of auditory categories
(EarOpener project) and on Brain Computer Interfacing (BCI). The research is made
possible by the NICI
and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the
Radboud University
Nijmegen and the
Netherlands
Organization for Scientific Research
(NWO), and Stichting Technische Wetenschappen (STW) with additional support from a number of companies (e.g.
Yamaha
Music Nederland and
TransTec
bv ). MMM April
2004.
